Alli's Picks 2/21/2013

Well... I looked around a bit....and I was able to find some honorable mentions in regards to world changing ideas...

Alli's Picks for the Week:

This is a great video!  Owner Tim Tobin and Farm Manager Margaret Krome-Lukens have  a grasp on the changes that are needed for us to move forward with a sustainable future.  I feel they do a good job articulating "why" these issues are important to rethink.

Steps toward smart water management:

A great option for indoor gardeners and outdoor gardeners alike!  And they are going to need A LOT more help!  All the options we can get off the ground to hand people the keys to their own food production...the better.

So...PLEASE do share these with people you know!  I can't be the only one who gives a damn about getting this world in a better position quick....can I?

Welcome to Contagious Change!

This page has been developed as a place for me to re-post ALL the important things I find in my daily search patterns that will contribute to REAL, measurable changes in this world.

When attempting to champion a cause on Facebook, I was literally shut down for "spamming" as I was posting a garden cause on garden-related pages.  I was furious, because it was time sensitive!  I had 14 days to help spread the word, and the blocked me from posting for 15!

The answer was clear.  I need to think about how to use my time on "other peoples" sites effectively; to craft my daily list of stuff we can do TODAY...to live in the NOW, and promote a final list that makes a respectful social media footprint with maximum effect to the issues that need addressed for the day.  Do what we can do...now....in manageable bites.

So, everyday, as I find these amazing things that we all can participate in to make a tangible change...I will compile them here.  Then...I will just promote this.  Problem solved.  Get 10 projects out to the same number of people without having to make a big splash all over the place.

Sounds plausible to me!

The following was considered "spam" or "unrelated materials" to a garden/horticulture page....

The post that Facebook took punitive action against:    (I know...it's awful!)

Hi all....Boston needs our help!

This needs the love of those who love to grow! The more of these that get funded, the more of these that will seek to become reality! I have no stake in this other than to see it happen from thousands of miles away...I funded it $5....you should too if you can!
